Welcome to the New Website!

WELCOME to the All-New, Completely Redesigned, and—with luck—Totally Updated Diana Gabaldon Official Website!

Many, many thanks to the very talented Jeremy Tolbert of Clockpunk Studios (www.clockpunkstudios.com), who did the new design (and guided me through the maze of learning to work with WordPress). And many thanks to the lovely Rosana Gatti, who designed (more than once {g}) the original Diana Gabaldon website, and has run it for more years than I care to count. (Thinking especially of longevity these days, as a) it’s my birthday {g}, and b) OUTLANDER (the novel) was published twenty (yes, 2_0) years ago!)

Now, there will be a few spots where I’ll add new material, links, excerpts or whatever as we go on, but I think the new site is essentially complete. (There will be a link to a Facebook page, for instance, but that’s not quite available yet.) And my blog will now be an integral feature of the website, as well.

I hope you enjoy exploring the new site! Do please let me know—there’s a place for comments, below, and on other parts of the site—if you see anything that doesn’t work, or have suggestions for things we may not have thought of that you’d like to see. (And you can use the “Follow” links to talk to me via Twitter, if you’d like.)

Thanks,

--Diana

  1. Happy Birthday! And Happy Anniversary - tomorrow is also my husband's and my 20th wedding anniversary, so that's a happy coincidence - and yes, he's read and enjoyed all the Outlander books...

  2. um... is there a new URL? I just went and looked at www.dianagabaldon.com and got the same old website (even after "refreshing") with news from September 2010 on it.

  3. I must be a proper thicket....because I can't find the wordpress link O_o

And, 20 years ago...yep, and I read it freshly printed that same day probably. As soon as the library got it in I snatched it up. I was expecting my eldest and was pretty heavy by that time and the trip to the library was tiring every other day so I scoured the shelves for the FATTEST book they had, and yours won!!

It's been winning ever since! BEST. BOOK. EVER! :D

    Happy Birthday!

  15. Birthday and Anniversary best wishes. I was told about the Outlander series for the first time in the fall. I read the first 7 books back to back and now I am reading them again. Starting Voyager today. I don't know if I've missed it, but WHEN IS THE NEXT BOOK COMING OUT!! I have been so spoiled being able to read all the books and not have to wait for them. Now I'm dying for the next one. Please make it soon.

    A very loyal fan. xo

  17. Do we even get a hint of when the next book may come out? I have seen several comments about 3 years so that 2012. I hope so. I love this series. I don't know the lady that told me to read them but I would like to tell her thank you. We were in Barnes and Noble and I was looking for a good book series just finished Jacqueline Carey series Kushiel's Legacy when a lady told me that I should buy the Outlander book because it was the best series she had ever read in her life. So I bought it. When I started reading I couldn't put it down just finished A Breath... If it wasn't so late I would be making a trip to town to get Echo but I guess I can wait until tomorrow since there is still going to be more books. Wonderful books!!

  19. was introduced to your books by another 'soccer mom' and i cant seem to put them down. just finished reading the fiery cross and im now to purchase the next one in line. i thought that it was interesting( in fiery cross)that roger and bree were discussing how frank taught bree how to ride/shoot without having any interest himself. i would love to see one of your stories coming from frank randells point of view. after all, he did move the jamies gravestone and he is also a historian with the past at his disposal.

  20. I am reading with great pleasure the second of your books and will doubtlessly fread as many as I can. The stories and characters are captivating and the depth of knowledge of regional and historic events are remarkable particularly the knowledge of surgical and medical practices in different eras. In the current book I am reading you use the American spelling "aluminum:. In England and other English speaking nations such as Australia where I live the preferred spelling is "aluminium". A bit of Arizona peeping out?

  21. Hi, my name's Jim Weatherford. My wife and I are listening to the unabridged books on CD of the Outlander Colection, but we are missing the Fiery Cross. Last I heard the contract was up for renewal and that was a month ago. We are still looking for the Fiery Cross, if you can tell where we can get the unabridged recorded books. We will appreciate.
    Thank you
